From hide to leather, process involves lots of resources, energy and manpower, Upcycling is a better option compared to recycling of leather garment waste wherever possible.
Though Upcycling is done in India , the products are either exported or sold in local lower end of the market. The quality and finishing of the products sold in India are low and does not match the requirements of current trend and market.
